Spirits Guide Me

The spirits will guide me wherever I go,
So even if my mind won't mean it,
In my heart, I'll always know.
There's a faint crack of sunlight, initiation; the dawn.
Upon dead bodies, you grow,
But in the end, reap what you sow.

I have been dishonoured,
I've been undermined completely,
Fell for your sick illusion,
That I needed you to complete me.
Well I was well enough alone,
Because even in the darkest of night,
I refuse to be afflicted by delusion,
Even if the spirits aren't directly in sight.

And whether wrong or whether right,
You strive for your own light,
To bring the dark to the light of day,
To stop living for tomorrow and start living for today.

I have been judgmental,
I have acted just like the rest,
But then I heard my higher calling,
And the spirits have told me I'm blessed.
And I'm doing just fine on my own,
I've found out I have my own inner light,
So now I know even when I'm falling,
I will hold in my heart no spite.

And whether wrong or whether right,
Whether there seems to be no end in sight,
There will never be a reason for you to stay,
But that's a reality you won't have to face today.

The spirits will guide me wherever I go,
Even if my pride tries to demean it,
In my soul, I'll never flop or fold.
There's a faint crack of sunlight, initiation; the dawn.
You sold out my world long ago,
And soon everyone else will know.

I have been victorious,
There's no dragon I haven't slain,
But look in the face of sheer apathy,
These mortal shells, so vain.
Yet the truth is I was never alone,
The spirits walk with me, all through the night,
It doesn't matter the type of tragedy,
I'll always be willing to stand up and fight.

Whether wrong, or whether right,
We never truly understand our own might,
You might not feel completely okay,
But you've managed to survive to see this day.
